Habitat for Humanity NYC & Westchester
As the Advocacy Co-Chair for Habitat Young Professionals NYC (HYP NYC), I utilized webinars, music, playlists, and art to engage the community around important Habitat NYC initiatives and housing issues. HYP collaborated with local artists to promote affordable housing through music. Each month highlighted a unique soundtrack. Meet the featured HYP'd artists!
Biggest takeaway: There are creative ways to bond around social impact. It was fun to amplify local artists and have them in conversation with leading Housing officials.
HYP NYC (2020-2021)
Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester County celebrated the essential contributions of women and gender non-conforming individuals in affordable housing at the 2022 Women Build Luncheon. As the events lead, I was responsible for sourcing the venue and live band, managing the budget, coordinating vendors, and assisting with logistics.
Biggest takeaway: Women are truly powerful! We hosted almost 100 women for lunch and fellowship to fundraise for Housing initiatives. It was partying with a purpose.
